Robert YALDEN 1
Notes: Robert was probably the younger brother, and was born in Lodsworth around 1528. He moved to Bramshott in 1573 and to Petersfield in 1587, where he died in 1608. He was a yeoman and property owner, leasing his house in Petersfield from Magdalen College Oxford. He had nine children with his wife Julian (qv), six sons and three daughters: three of his sons - William, Crysophilus and Martin - married daughters of Richard Aylwin of Monkton in the Parish of West Dean in Sussex. These were the first of the many known marriages between the Yalden and Aylwin/Ayling families of Sussex. Robert married Julian. (Julian was buried on 27 Jun 1609 in St Peter, Petersfield, Hampshire 3.) |
