Benjamin WARREN
(1652-1713) |
Benjamin WARREN 3
Notes: The younger of two sons, Benjamin was a merchant from Plymouth and was almost certainly engaged in the Iberian wine trade. He married Mary Denew (qv), the sister of his brother John's wife Elizabeth Denew. Benjamin lived with his family in El Puerto de Santa Maria (near Cadiz) in Spain from around 1688 to 1698, then settled in London. He, his wife and several of their children were buried in All Hallows Barking by the Tower, the church used by several of his Walloon relatives. It is clear from wills that several of his children had Presbyterian views. Benjamin married Mary DENEW, daughter of James DENEW and Mary DELILLERS, on 1 Jun 1682 in St Paul Covent Garden, Westminster.1 2 (Mary DENEW was born on 25 Jun 1659 7, christened on 10 Jul 1659 in All Hallows Staining, London 8 and was buried on 24 Oct 1720 in All Hallows Barking by the Tower, London 9.) |
