Notes: Henrietta was the eighth (or possibly ninth) child, and was born in El Peurto de Santa Maria in Spain, where her father had been a merchant since 1684. The family returned to England soon after her birth, and settled in Stepney in London. She outlived her husband William Whately (qv) and died at the age of 66 in London. Henrietta married William WHATELY, son of Thomas WHATELY and Ann STEEL, on 16 Oct 1718 in St Martin Outwich, London.1 2 (William WHATELY was born in 1688 5 and was buried on 25 Sep 1752 in St Leonard Bromley, Middlesex 4.) |
