John lived in Plymouth. His son William obtained his MA from Trinity College Oxford in 1639, and was appointed Rector of Stoke Climsland in Cornwall in 1644. William was ejected in 1646, but reinstated following the Restoration, and held the post until his death in 1692. Several of his relations married in his Parish church. John also had a daughter Judith (qv).
