Lucy was the second daughter of William and Rachel Fawdry. She was born in Swalcliffe in Oxfordshire, but moved with her family to Birmingham when she was about eight. She married James Thomas (qv) in Birmingham, and raised her family in Birmingham, Bloxwich and Essington.

Lucy married James THOMAS, son of John THOMAS and Tryphena MASTERS, on 25 Apr 1821 in St Philip, Birmingham, Warwickshire.1 (James THOMAS was born on 12 Aug 1795 in Lostwithiel, Corwall 6 7, christened on 30 Aug 1795 in St Bartholomew, Lostwithiel, Corwall,8 died on 20 Mar 1863 in Essington, Staffordshire 9 and was buried in St James, Ogley Hay, Staffs 5.)
