The younger son, William inherited land at Bampton in Oxfordshire from his uncle William, but lived in Salford where he was a farmer. He married Lucy Goodwin and had five children. Their eldest son was William (qv). Their eldest daughter Lucy married John Edwards in Birmingham, and had one son. Little is known about their next two children Richard and Sarah. Their youngest son James also moved to Birmingham, where he was a farmer and baker at Birmingham Heath; he married Sarah Richards and had nine children, including John who took over the family farm. ![]() William married Lucy GOODWIN on 9 Oct 1757 in St Mary, Salford, Oxfordshire.1 (Lucy GOODWIN died on 5 Sep 1799 3 and was buried on 15 Sep 1799 in St Mary, Salford, Oxfordshire 5.) |
