bullet  Notes:

The Fawdry family is known to have lived in the village of Salford in Oxfordshire in the 17th Century - the yeoman Ralph Fawdry was recorded there with two hearths in 1665, and transferred property to Michael and George Fawdry in 1685. Only fragmentary records of the Salford Parish Register have survived prior to 1720, but six Fawdry siblings are known from the will of William Fawdry, a yeoman in the village of Windrush in Gloucestershire. He gave land to his nephews Cornelius (qv) and William (qv), sons of his brother Cornelius (qv) of Salford; and bequests to his other brothers and sisters, and their children and grandchildren. The parents of the six may have been George and Elizabeth Fawdry, buried in Salford churchyard in 1719 and 1722 respectively.
