Notes: The youngest of three sons, James lived in Castle Street in Farnham, and was a tanner and landowner. He married his second cousin Elizabeth Paine (qv), daughter of a farmer in Tongham, and had three surviving children. James married Elizabeth PAINE, daughter of James PAINE and Sarah WELLER, on 28 Jun 1764 in St Laurence, Seale, Surrey.1 2 (Elizabeth PAINE was christened on 10 Sep 1739 in St Laurence, Seale, Surrey,1 died on 7 Apr 1814 6 and was buried on 13 Apr 1814 in St Andrew, Farnham, Surrey 4.) |
