Mary was the eldest daughter of Nicholas Ayling, and was probably born at Hookland in the Parish of Woolbeding. She married William Yalden (qv) of Blackdown in the Parish of Lodsworth, where their 10 children were born. She outlived her husband, but her burial has not been traced.
