Rebecca was the only daughter of Reader and Katherine Watts. Her baptismal record has not been found (probably because her parents were nonconformists), but was most likely born and brought up in London. She was living in the Parish of St Peter le Poer when she married in 1745. She was granted administration for her husband Robert's estate in 1775, but did not complete it before her death in 1781. They were both buried in Bunhill Fields.
