Notes: Williamina was the sixth of the eight grandparents. Her earliest known Duff ancestor was Archibald Daff, a farmer in Greenock in the early 18th Century. In the 19th Century the family profession changed to brassfounding, in Greenock and Dundee. Williamina married Lt Col William Henry GRAY, son of Capt John GRAY and Margaret Spring MORTIMER, on 20 Jun 1894 in Old Machar, Aberdeen.1 (Lt Col William Henry GRAY was born on 29 Sep 1863 in Hoxa, South Ronaldsay, Orkney,6 died on 14 Jan 1915 in Aberdeen 7 and was buried in St Peter, South Ronaldsay, Orkney 8.) |
