The oldest surviving daugher of a druggist in Aberdeen, Helen married a baker and brought up their family in Woodside. She oulived her husband by 20 years, and lived with her widowed daughter and unmarried children in Albert Street.

Helen married John WIGHT, son of John WIGHT and Jean MURRAY, on 7 Aug 1832 in Old Machar, Aberdeen.¹ (John WIGHT was born on 8 Aug 1803 in Greens of Afforsk, Aberdeenshire ⁶, christened on 14 Aug 1803 in Chapel of Garioch, Aberdeenshire,⁶ died on 20 Sep 1879 in Old Machar, Aberdeen ⁷ and was buried in St Nicholas, Aberdeen ⁵.)
