Nicholas was the eldest son, and rented Ash Manor, Jolyns and Mongers in Ash between 1664 and 1682. He may have married twice, but neither of his wives survived him. His will shows three children: his eldest daughter Mary (qv), his younger daughter Sarah, and his only son John, who his executor and main beneficiary.
