bullet  Notes:

Nicholas was a yeoman farmer in Ash in Surrey. He was the sole executor and main beneficiary in his father's will, and leased Mongers in Ash in 1608. He had some standing in Ash as he was appointed as overseer in several wills. He owned land and property in Surrey and Berkshire when he died in 1625.

Nicholas married Joan Worsum (qv) in 1594, and identified four sons and four daughters in his will. Their two eldest sons were Henry (qv) and Nicholas (qv). Their third son Thomas was a farmer in Ash in partnership with his elder brother Nicholas, but died at the age of 40 leaving two young daughters. Their next two children Eleanor and Edward were unmarried at the time of his death. Their next daughter Mary married Henry Baker of Pirbright, and settled in Worplesdon. Their next daughter Joan married William Collins of Pirbright, who was a farmer and bailiff for Pirbright Manor. Their youngest daughter Mercy died when she was 14.
