Isabella was the youngest daughter of Robert Parker (qv), a farm labourer in Colby, and Jane Pearson (qv). She was the second wife of Robert Balmer (qv), a farmer in Bleatarn and Soulby. She had 12 children,and outlived her husnband by 15 years. She continued to live on the family farm in Soulby after the death of her husband.
Isabella married Robert BALMER, son of Joseph BALMER and Sarah FAINT, on 3 Nov 1858 in St Columbe, Warcop, Westmorland.1 (Robert BALMER was born in Sandford, Westmorland 3, christened on 13 Feb 1818 in St Columbe, Warcop, Westmorland,1 died on 7 Aug 1882 in Soulby, Westmorland 7 and was buried on 9 Aug 1882 in St Luke, Soulby, Westmorland 6.)
