John Watts of Benenden was his father's executor, and was like him a clothmaker. He inherited most of his father's estate, including property in Benenden. John's daughters were Margery, who married Robert Wyman, John's executor; Benet; Avys, who was probably the second wife of William Watts (qv) of Sandhurst.; and Thamosin who married Robert Water of Benenden. John's son Thomas was an ironmonger in London, whose will of 1548 identified several of his relatives. John's son William (qv) lived in Benenden.
