The youngest son, Theophilus was born in Ardsley in the Parish of Darfield. He married Elizabeth Edmundsen (qv) in Wakefield, and settled in Altofts in the Parish of Normanton. His occupation is not known. They had four children, two girls and two boys. Their eldest daughter Elizabeth died in infancy. Their eldest son John was a labourer at the time of his marriage to Susanna Hinchcliffe, and later moved to Knottingley where two of their sons had settled. Theophilus' and Elizabeth's younger daughter Mary married Richard Dannel, a cloth worker in Wakefield; and their younger son William (qv) moved to Sandal Magna. Theophilus died intestate, and his estate was administered by his wife Elizabeth.
