Alexander was a yeoman farmer in Horsley in the Parish of Ovingham, and identified four sons in his will. John was the main beneficiary, and inherited his leasehold farm in Horsley, together with other land and property. Jacob shared one of the leases, while Thomas and Joseph were given money.
