Notes: The younger son, Robert received a modest inheritance in his father's will, but was a successful yeoman farmer when he died in 1677, shortly after his father. He had a house at Lyeway, and the lease of the College Farm in Ropley which was passed down through the next two generations. He had two children with his wife Mary. Their son Robert (qv) was his executor and main beneficiary, although he was still a minor; and he also provided for his wife and daughter Mary. Robert married Mary. (Mary died after 1676 3.) |
