bullet  Notes:

The second of five sons, James farmed at Tongham in Surrey. He had two children with his wife Sarah Weller (qv). Their daughter Elizabeth (qv) married James Stevens (qv) of Farnham. Their son Richard was also a farmer, and married Mary Simmonds from Puttenham who died in 1814 after being thrown from a vehicle on Thundery Hill. Richard and Mary did not have any children, so most of Richard's property was bequeathed to his sister's family.
