The eldest son of a farmer, John was baptised in Church Knowle, married Joan Cotterell (qv) in 1701, and moved from Church Knowle to Corfe Castle around 1708. His occupation is not known., but he may have been the John Osmond who was a juror in Corfe Castle in 1714.
