Thomas was the youngest of five children, and his will shows that he was a tinner. He married Joan Robins (qv) in 1732. They had two sons: Robert who inherited his father's tinning equipment, and was described as a yeoman of Tremayle in Lanivet when he died in 1808; and Richard (qv).
