Robert's occupation is not known. He and his wife Olive (qv) had five children that survived infancy. Their daughter Elizabeth married William Budd of Bradley, but it is not known how or if they were related. Their eldest son William died shortly before his mother in Ropley, and is known to have had five children with his wife Elizabeth. Their next daughter Olive married John Mengham, a malster in Bighton. Their youngest son was John (qv), a grocer in Ropley. Their youngest daughter Mary did not marry, died at the age of 30, and left bequests to many of her relations. Robert was living in North Street in Ropley at the end of his life.

Robert married Olive. (Olive was born in 1657,² died on 19 Dec 1737 ³ and was buried on 22 Dec 1737 in St Peter, Ropley, Hampshire ⁵.)
