Thomas was baptised in Langwathby soon after the death of his father in 1658. He married Ann Stanley (qv) in the Parish of Kirkland near Penrith, where their five children were born (in the village of Skirwith). Their youngest daughter Ann (qv) is the only one to have been traced after her baptism.
