Nicholas' occupation is not known, but he rented Trebyan in the Parish of Lanhydrock towards the end of his life. In 1710 he married Joan Gatty (qv) of St Austell: they had nine children, the first six baptised in Luxulvan, and the last three in Lanhydrock. He left small bequests to all their children apart from their youngest (Richard) who had died aged 2. Only two of their children are known to have married: their eldest daughter Jane (qv) who married Thomas Thomas (qv) of Lanivet; and Robert who married Elizabeth (surname not known), and had a daughter also named Elizabeth who was baptised in Lanhydrock in 1751.
