bullet  Notes:

Nicholas was the second son, and was the only one of his sibilings to be baptised in Farnham rather than Ash. He was joint executor (with his mother) for his father's will, in which he inherited land and property. He was a farmer - he leased Jolyn's in Ash with his brother Thomas between 1628 and 1646, and also leased Ash Manor between 1637 and 1646.

Nicholas married Margaret Clifton (qv) of Worplesdon in Surrey in 1626, and named four children in his will. His eldest son Henry inherited the lease of his farm in Ash, and was married but did not have any children. The next son was Nicholas - he and his brother Henry were buried in Ash. Their third son was John (qv), and their only daughter was Mary.
