Robert was a joiner in Newton by the Sea when he died in 1802. He is known to have had five children with his wife Ann, but information is only available for two of his sons: Thomas, who was a fisherman and joiner, married Ann Smith and had six children; and Edward (qv). Both sons lived in Newton by the Sea.
Robert married Mary THEW on 17 Jul 1753 in Holy Trinity, Embleton, Northumberland.1 (Mary THEW died in Newton by the Sea, Northumberland 6 and was buried on 3 Dec 1780 in Holy Trinity, Embleton, Northumberland 5.)
