She was the second daughter of Elias Maurois, who had moved to Canterbury from Flanders in the late 16th Century. She did not remarry after her husband died in 1630 , and died at the age of 75 in Broadfriars in London. Her will was translated out of French, so was presumably her main language. ![]() Mary married James DE NEU, son of Jacques DE NEU and Antoinette DESROUSSEAUX, on 30 Jan 1625 in Walloon or Strangers Church, Canterbury, Kent.1 2 (James DE NEU was christened on 23 Jan 1597 in Walloon or Strangers Church, Canterbury, Kent 7 and was buried on 27 Dec 1630 in St Antholin Budge Row, London 6.) |
