Samuel YEATES 2
Samuel's birthplace is not known. He was an attorney in Winslow in Buckinghamshire, and had three children with his wife Bridget Smith (qv). Their only daughter was Ann (qv). Their eldest son Richard died when he was 15, and was buried at Padbury (Bridget's birthplace), as was Samuel. Their younger son Thomas married twice, first when he was still a minor to Elizabeth Eden, a maidservant, and then to Sarah Carpenter, a widow: Thomas' eldest son Samuel was a lace manufacturer in Winslow.
Samuel married Bridget SMITH, daughter of Richard SMITH and Penelope CHESTER, on 18 Dec 1749 in St Faith, Kilsby, Northamptonshire.1 (Bridget SMITH was christened on 24 May 1731 in St Mary the Virgin, Padbury, Buckinghamshire 5 and was buried on 1 Jul 1797 in St Laurence, Winslow, Buckinghamshire 6.)
